Jordan’s Furniture Sets Opening Date For Portland Store

According to the company's website, the highly-anticipated South Portland location of Jordan's Furniture will open at Noon on Friday, July 17th.

Located in the old Filene's / Bonton location at the Maine Mall, the store has 120,000 square feet of furniture across two levels.  On top of that, there's also an 8,000 square foot outlet center.

The store has the largest LED ceiling in North America.  Does that mean it is even larger than the LED show on Fremont Street in Las Vegas?

Additionally, the store will feature Maine's largest indoor ropes adventure course and zip lines.  Yes, ZIP LINES!

All of this probably will not be much of a surprise for people familiar with other Jordan's Furniture stores.  They are known across New England for the "attractions" within their stores.  For example, at least one of their Massachusetts locations has an IMAX movie theater.
