The Tallest Slide in New Hampshire Can Be Found at This Popular Waterpark
I am not a big amusement park kind of lady because my motion sickness is real. I know, I know, I sound like a real party pooper. But trust me, you don't want to see after a spin in the teacups at Canobie Lake Park. I will be a shade of green that is usually reserved for plants and I'll need to sit down for the rest of the day.
I've always loved water parks because its less about the rides that spin you in circles and more about the wave pools and water slides! That is a cause I can get behind. Water Country in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, has been my favorite waterpark for as long as I can remember. Not only does it have the catchiest jingle to ever jingle (if you know, you know)
But it is also home to one of the most iconic waterslides in Northern New England. I am talking about "The Patriot".

When did The Patriot open?
OG Water Country enthusiasts remember GERONIMO! (That is not a poor grammar moment, there was actually an exclamation point in the title. That slide would give you the biggest wedgie you've ever had in your life. At one point it was so steep you felt like you were floating above the slide and not actually on it. Terrifying! But awesome! Back in 2019 the two slides that were once GERONIMO!
What does "The Patriot" entail?
The Patriot requires some climbing to get up to the top, six stories to be exact. But once you hike up there it is definitely worth it. The high speed drop is 58 feet down a vibrant Red, White, and Blue slide and with a massive splash factor at the bottom.
Is there an age limit?
For sure! Don't be sending your toddlers down this bad boy. You must be above the age of 14 to ride this slide.
Are there height/weight restrictions?
The rule is you must be a minimum of 4'8 and not exceed a weight of 300 pounds.
Will you be brave enough to slide down The Patriot this Summer?
