There's nothing like facing your fear of cold Northeast winters quite like this. Sure, it's an outdoor market place, but Snowport in Boston is so much more.

Open seven days a week until December 31, this winter wonderland of stuff to eat, drink, buy, and see is as magical as the season gets. Located at 65 Northern Avenue in Boston, this is the third season of Snowport, and it's doubled in size.

Snowport is winter taking over the Seaport area, filled with an open-air market of over 120 small businesses and 17 food and beverage posts. Everything from baby clothes to vintage vinyl, pure maple syrup, pantry items, books and whimsical watercolors, and leather crafts is here at your one-stop gift shopping market.

Imagine seeing Betty the Yeti, or ginormous ice sculptures. There are even iceless curling lanes, with lessons being given by The North End Curling Curling Club.

The Christmas Tree lighting is December 1 at 5pm, and the Menorah lighting in December 10 at 4pm.  Join the holiday stroll through ice sculptures and peruse holiday greenery for sale, including Christmas trees.

Here's another treat for the season.  This year, Snowport will feature four different holiday-themed outdoor bars.  There's an apres-ski lounge with real fire pits and red Adirondack chairs in a heated tent.

And this from prnewswire.com, "New this year are four holiday-themed bars such as a ringing "Jingle Bar" adorned in hundreds of bells and "The Dizzy Dreidel" decked with spinning dreidels. Guests can enjoy a variety of festive craft cocktails and warm drinks, including the Holiday Hot Mulled Cider by Downeast Cider - a warming winter treat thoughtfully crafted with fresh New England apple cider, toasted American oak, nutmeg, and cinnamon."

Now if that doesn't get you in the holiday spirit, then I don't know what will.  Give it a whirl, as it reminds you of the wonderful European holiday markets of yesterday and today. Find hours here.

Cheers!
