New England Takes Over ‘Saturday Night Live’ With Matt Damon, Noah Kahan

"Saturday Night Live" has been around for over 50 years, and this May, it's getting a double-dose of New England.

Massachusetts native Matt Damon and Vermont native Noah Kahan will be joining the long-running sketch show. Damon is hosting, and Kahan is the musical guest.

The real questions are how many New England-based sketches will there be, and how many other New England stars will cameo during the episode?

When are Matt Damon and Noah Kahan on "Saturday Night Live"?

A Facebook post from "Saturday Night Live" revealed the final three shows of season 51, including that Damon and Kahan will appear on the May 9, 2026, episode.

If you're wondering about the other two shows? Olivia Rodrigo pulls double duty on May 2, and "SNL" alum Will Ferrell is joined by the legendary Paul McCartney for the season finale on May 16.

This upcoming May episode marks Damon's third time as host and Kahan's second time as a musical guest.

When Did Matt Damon First Host "Saturday Night Live"?

According to the Saturday Night Live Wiki, Damon's first time as host was the season premiere of season 28 in 2002, and he returned as host in 2018.

He's also made a number of appearances on the show over the years.

So, with the two New Englanders showing up together for "Saturday Night Live," is it likely that we'll get some New England references and shout-outs?

For some reason, the New England bits I recall Damon doing were on other shows like Jimmy Fallon (naming every Massachusetts town) or Jimmy Kimmel (a sketch about the "locker room" guy from Deflategate).

Massachusetts native Casey Affleck poked fun at Dunkin' during his stint on "Saturday Night Live," while his brother Ben Affleck and former late-night host Conan O'Brien, also with their respective Mass ties, joined Jimmy Fallon for some Boston shenanigans at Cumberland Farms.

Who knows? Maybe we'll get a really good New England-themed sketch. Maybe even some other New England surprises? Maybe?
