When it comes to restaurants that have come and gone in New England, there is one chain that saddens me the most.

It's the place I asked my Grammy to take me, probably because my parents did not like the interrupting wall buffalo and moose.

But that's what made this place so fun - the animals, the wood, the northern New Hampshire and Maine feel (in the middle of Nashua, NH, Warwick, RI, or Methuen, MA)

And seriously...when Moxie the Moose or Bill the Buffalo spoke...they captured everyone in the restaurant and filled kids' eyes with joy.

Okay, I am being a bit dramatic with my nostalgia, but I sure do miss the Bugaboo Creek.

Bugaboo Creek Bankruptcy:

In 2010, Bugaboo Creek closed most of their locations after filing for bankruptcy.

From their first restaurant in Warwick, RI, to their last operating location, the Bugaboo Creek era ended in 2016.

One of the former locations, the Bagaboo Creek in Nashua, NH, is now part of a casino...oh, how the tables turn.
