Two New Stores Open At the Maine Mall in South Portland

2025 has already proved to be a struggle for some major chains that people from Maine recognize. Jo Ann Fabric just completed bankruptcy and will close all of their stores throughout the state. Other retailers like JC Penney and Kohl's have begun to close a handful of stores across the nation as they look to turn a profit.

With all that doom and gloom, you'd think a place like the Maine Mall would also be feeling the squeeze. In fact, a pair of local stores closed permanently recently. Instead, the Maine Mall just keeps chugging along by adding a pair of new stores to the mix with another coming soon.

New Beauty Salon Opens Near JC Penney

Frequent visitors to the Maine Mall were saddened to learn that La Biotique had recently closed. For many, that was their go-to place to get their eyebrows taken care of.

The good news is, it didn't take long for a replacement to fill the void. After a quick update to the space, Royal Touch Brows Beauty & Aesthetics has officially opened in the JC Penney wing of the mall offering eyebrow threading, waxing, facials and more.

Sufficient Classic Opens New Spot Near Macy's

Sufficient Classic isn't exactly a new store to the Maine Mall. Their initial location was closer to Team Spirit as well as Bath & Body Works. But now they've officially opened their new, larger location by Macy's.

Sufficient Classic offers a wide selection of suits, tuxedos and other upscale gentleman's clothing. They also offer direct consultation services by appointment to help with acquiring the best fit.
