But just like many other items in people's everyday life, the cost of beer has risen. For some, the cost has risen to a point where they simply can't factor it in to their budget.
Here comes Market Basket to save to the day.
Market Basket Launches Their Own Beer Line With Help From Vermont Brewery
Just like they do with many grocery standards, Market Basket is always looking for ways to save customers money on the things they want. Now, that includes a good lager.
According to Boston.com, Market Basket has teamed up with Zero Gravity Brewing in Vermont to roll out a lager with the Market Basket branding attached to it.
Market Basket promises their lager has a crisp taste to it and should remind some of their favorite classic light beer.
Market Basket Can Price Their Beer How They Want
The new Market Basket beer is called the 'More For Your Dollar' lager and is priced at $12.99 for a 12-pack wherever it is sold.
In Maine, beer and wine prices are not regulated by the state, meaning Market Basket can price their own private-brand of beer as competitively as they'd like.
More For Your Dollar lager can be found at all Market Basket stores in Maine, New Hampshire and a handful of Massachusetts stores during its initial rollout.
