
Popular South Portland, Maine, Restaurant Reopens With To-Go Service Only
On almost every weekend of the year, you'll find a waiting area filled with hungry customers when visiting the Longhorn Steakhouse near the Maine Mall in South Portland. It has been one of the most popular restaurants in the area for more than a decade.
But that string of success came to a halt at the end of March when a portion of the ceiling collapsed during a busy weekend dinner service. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries from the collapse. However, the restaurant immediately closed with no timetable on when it would return.
Longhorn Steakhouse in South Portland, Maine, Announces Reopening For To-Go Service
Shared on social media, Longhorn Steakhouse near the Maine Mall has announced that they have officially reopened for to-go service only. For those that have been desperately missing one of Longhorn's signature steaks, the curbside option is a welcome relief.
Guests can either order online or call the restaurant directly. You can find Longhorn's hours of operating for their to-go service during weekdays and the weekends here.
Longhorn Still Has No Timetable For Reopening Their Dining Room in South Portland, Maine
While the return of to-go service is music to the ears to those that are missing a Flo's Filet, there remains no definitive timetable for the restaurant to resume dine-in service.
Repair work has been ongoing but given the nature of the ceiling collapse, Longhorn will need to complete construction and then get full approval from inspectors before they can reopen the dining area for guests.
