
International Food Festival Happening in Portland, Maine, This May
There's been plenty of attention on the food scene in Portland, Maine, over the last decade. From being featured on national television shows to restaurants being singled out as a premier place to eat, the food in Maine's largest city has received plenty of accolades.
But one of the questions that consistently comes up when talking about the Portland, Maine, food scene is, "is there enough international flare and flavor?". With that in mind, a food festival is planned for this May in Portland that will showcase the multicultural food offerings throughout the city.
A Taste of Nations Food Festival Happens in Portland, Maine, on May 10 and May 11
On both Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, the Taste of Nations Food Festival will take place at Mayo Street Arts in Portland. This year's festival will include more than 10 different vendors sharing signature dishes from their cultural cuisine.
The Taste of Nations Food Festival shared its confirmed vendors which include:
Amira Cuisine (Middle Eastern), Battambang Bistro (Cambodia), Cambodia's Best, Eduardo's Brazilian Grill One, Flores Restaurant (El Salvadorian), Gunnar's Icelandic Hot Dogs, Hellenic Kitchen (Greek), La Gallera (Puerto Rican), Niyat Catering (Ethiopian), Yardie Ting (Jamaican), and Young Nonna (Italian)
Is the Taste of Nations Food Festival in Portland, Maine, a Ticketed Event?
Yes, the Taste of Nations Food Festival does require a ticket. All proceeds from ticket sales support Mayo Street Arts. All vendors at the Taste of Nations Food Festival will be selling small plates for $5 a piece with all of that money going directly to the vendor.
Beyond the food, there will prize giveaways and live entertainment. There are two sessions of the food festival on both May 10 and May 11. You can find more ticket details here.
