Maine Restaurant Serving the World’s Largest Lobster Roll Sets Opening Date for Its 48th Season
A classic seasonal Maine restaurant has announced its return date.
The Taste of Maine in Woolwich revealed on social media that April 2026 would be the month the popular spot reopens for its 48th season.
That means another shot at the world's largest lobster roll... if your hungry stomach can handle it.
When Does the Taste of Maine in Woolwich Open in 2026?
According to a Facebook post from the Taste of Maine, the Woolwich restaurant shared that it would be opening on Friday, April 3, 2026.
Thankfully, that's no April Fool's joke.
The restaurant closed out its 47th season in December 2025 with a special 99-cent buffet, teaming up with Waterville-based Maine Children's Home to help provide holiday gifts to kids across the state. People were invited to bring a gift to donate in exchange for the discounted meal.
The World's Largest Lobster Roll is at The Taste of Maine in Woolwich
The family-owned and family-run Taste of Maine, which has been around since 1978, serves up what they tout as the "world's largest lobster roll."
This particular lobster roll is 2 feet long with over 1.5 pounds of fresh Maine lobster meat. In 2024 and 2025, it cost around $159.99, so expect a similar price for 2026.
Plus, it's served every day the restaurant is open, so you don't have to worry about coming in on a particular day to get your super-sized lobster roll fix.
