This is the Real Reason Why Winter Is Hands-Down the Best Season in Maine
If you're here right now, then you most likely are wondering what the heck is wrong with whoever wrote this because winter is typically miserable all around right? Wrong.
Winters in Maine are actually the absolute best you're just looking at it all wrong.
What are Maine winters like?
Perspective is a wild thing.
If you tell yourself winter is horrible because of how cold and gloomy it is, you're right. If you tell yourself winter is so much fun in Maine, you're also right.
You're in control of your happiness. Check out my perspective of Maine winters.
Summertime is a friggen blast. We boat on Sebago Lake, we play disc golf in the woods, we hike, bike, and run all the beautiful state parks, and we're constantly going to meet our friends at the nearest outdoor deck bar.
All of that is quite literally why we all choose to endure Maine winters because we know once summer gets here it'll be worth it.
Self-Care Ideas
But it's busy, it's constant drinking in the sun and running around and truthfully as a full-time corporate gal..I'm tired! I'm not strong enough to decline a "let's go sit on the rooftop of Luke's Lobster".
Look at Maine winters as the perfect excuse to literally stay in doors and relax. It's the perfect time to work on yourself since most other people are hermit crabbing just the same.
There's no fomo or pressure to go out or leave the house instead of working out so take advantage of it! Get in shape, start that new book you've always wanted to try, do a damn face mask.
Work on you during the gloomy winter months and when we defrost in the summertime, come out HOT.
This is why winter in Maine is actually the best season because any season we use working on self-care is a damn good season. Cheers to perspective!
