Here’s 19 New Maine Restaurants to Try That Opened in October 2025

It looks like October had a lot of restaurant grand openings in Maine.

There were numerous debuts across the state, including food trucks expanding to brick-and-mortar places, pizza places, and fresh new Mexican and Asian cuisine, among others.

We're nearing the end of the year, and yet there's no slowing down for new eateries.

One of the first places of the month was Abbiocco, a pasta-and-wine bar in Portland.

The new Italian spot announced on Instagram on October 2 that it was ready to serve up some fresh handmade pasta and "an inviting glass of wine."

It took over the place that was previously occupied by Sissle & Daughters at 634 Forest Avenue.

Meanwhile, Sweet Cheeks Diner opened in Bucksport on October 7, and according to the Bangor Daily News, the retro-themed diner features "an old jukebox, records decorating the walls and poodle skirt outfits for staff." Like a blast from the past for the now and future.

The newspaper noted high customer demand for the place, so expect some long lines at the already popular spot.
