Interestingly, Freeport had a good many new spots open for August, including one in the former Jameson Tavern.

That would be the King's Head, a gastropub serving up elevated pub fare and a nice selection of drinks. You know, perfect for after all that shopping you do over at L.L. Bean and the other stores.

If you're feeling more of a sandwich craving, Harvest Moon Deli opened its second location in Augusta, near the Civic Center.

This would be the ninth location for the casual sandwich shop, which first debuted in Orono in 2007.

Camden, Old Town, Portland, Stockton Springs and Skowhegan also had grand openings for new food establishments.

Let's take a look at 10 of the new spots here.
