You've just had a long day at the office, or maybe you've been jam-packed with activities with the kids, and the last thing you want to do is spend your last bits of energy cooking together a meal at the house.

Seems like going out to grab a bite to eat is the play, right?

Thankfully, there are a bunch of new Maine restaurants that opened in February that you can try for when you just need a delicious night out and a break from home.

Dog owners will be thrilled to know that not one, but two new restaurants catered to pups and their people opened in Maine in February

We're talking about The Barkery Dog Bar in South Portland and Woof Play Eat in Portland. Both of these places have a restaurant, bar, and indoor dog park so you can eat and drink while your favorite canine gets to enjoy themselves.

Even dogs want to get out and go places rather than sit at home all the time.

You've also got two places expanding from their smaller venues like Morning Moose Coffee in Topsham and Crepe Elizabeth in Freeport. One started in a small pink trailer and the other a food truck, and now both have brick-and-mortar spots for some fresh doughnuts and hand-made crepes.

A tasty treat for the day.

Amazingly, that's not all. Let's take a look at even more places to satisfy your appetite with a variety of other food choices to make their debut.

Maybe it's grabbing a cocktail at the Marquis in Portland, or maybe it's enjoying some carefully crafted dishes at the Capital Bar and Grille in Augusta.
