3 Hidden Pizza Gems: What Dave Portnoy Missed When He Came to Maine
Don't you love when an unsuspecting place ends up sneakily having a great piece of pizza?
It's the same formula we use when we discover run down, dirty dive bars then become surprisingly attached to them.
That's how I feel about these 3 low-key places that surprised the hell out of me with their beautiful cheesiness when I picked up a slice.
Dave Portnoy Pizza Reviews in Maine
Summer of 2023 was an iconic season for the pizza industry in Maine.
Barstool Sports CEO & founder of 'One Bite Pizza Reviews' Dave Portnoy, finally ventured into Portland to showcase our up and coming pizza culture.
If you missed any of Dave's wild Maine summer adventure, here's a full list of the places he chose and their rankings.

If I may, the only things I feel he missed the mark on during his Portland reviews are these 3 hidden pizza gems.
Coletti's Pizza
I mean you know they've gotta have good pie when their IG bio says this:
"Here we go back 100 and start over to achieve one of the most digestive pizzas around, with that being said it’s a good for you kind of pizza" - @colettispizza
In the Biddeford neighborhood, Coletti's Pizza Factory is considered one of Yelp's top pizza spots in the U.S. & Canada.
Profenno's Pizzeria
In the heart of Westbrook, Maine you'll find a dive bar called Profenno's with karaoke and some seriously silly good za.
As a Westbrook resident, I'm here to tell you that my friends and I specifically go here just for the pizza. Being a dive bar and sneakily serving a pizza this delicious is such a humble flex. Portnoy would die.
Foundation Brewing Co
Lawwwwd did I almost pass away when I tried their deep dish slice in Portland. This one is interesting because typically breweries are known for their unique takes on beer, not their pizza but look.
Foundation has some real good beer choices of course but is also well known for having some insanely delicious thick or thin crust pizza. Again, Portnoy would absolutely decease if he tried it.
I have a feeling one day he'll be back to our state for more pizza reviews. The last time I said something like that, he ended up traveling to Maine for the first time in One Bite history.
