Is it too soon to start getting excited for Christmas in Maine again?

It's only really just feeling like we've turned that corner from the cold and snow of winter to the rising warm temps and the joy a bright sunny day brings. Bring on the beach!

And yet, even with the excitement of spring and summer, one of Maine’s best winter traditions is already giving us something to look forward to when the temps drop again: Gardens Aglow in Boothbay has officially announced its 2025 dates.

Maine's Gardens Aglow 2025 Schedule

According to a press release from the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, the light show will take place this year from November 15 to January 3.

So you can take in the dazzling display before Thanksgiving or perhaps with a fresh coat of snow during the Christmas season... or in kicking off the new year.

Not a bad way to spend the holiday season, right?

Maine's Gardens Aglow 2025 Tickets

The botanical gardens' press release states that tickets will go on sale to members on September 1 and then to the general public a week later.

Be sure to check the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens website for tickets when September rolls around.

What Can I See at Maine's Gardens Aglow?

The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is currently focused on opening on May 1, 2025, and its offerings for the new spring season, so details on Gardens Aglow haven't yet been revealed.

That said, 2025 would mark the holiday light display's 11th year and will likely once again feature over 750,000 lights like it did in 2024.

And those massive trolls that have been a recent mainstay at the gardens? Also, a ton of fun to see lit up against a backdrop of colorful lights.

If anything, as we get closer to the winter season, there will likely be some fun surprises and reveals about what's to come.
