What would you do if you saw Bigfoot standing in the Maine woods, massive and hairy and looking back at you from behind a tree?

Would you even believe what you saw?

Do you even believe Bigfoot exists, let alone think he's roaming around in the Pine Tree State?

Bigfoot in Maine

You might be surprised to know that Maine has had its fair share of mysterious Sasquatch sightings.

According to The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, there have been at least 20 reports of Bigfoot in Maine since 1970.

Most recently, in February, someone submitted an account to the Bigfoot organization after discovering large footprints in the snow.

Bigfoot Sighting in Wells, Maine, 2025

The report stated that in February 2025, after a heavy snowstorm, a set of mysterious tracks was discovered in the snow on a man's property near Kenyon Hills Preserve in southern Maine:

The tracks were approximately 7’ – 8’ apart, totaling about two strides of the landowner. He followed them for approximately 150’ until they became unrecognizable.

While the man reported that the tracks seemed recently made on the thick-crusted snow, unfortunately, there wasn't really enough detail with the tracks to easily determine what might have made them.

There was even a video taken of the tracks, which you can see here or below.

So was it a Bigfoot or more likely something else?

A BFRO investigator stated that the tracks were "definitely not moose tracks" and indicated that they were made by a "very tall bipedal creature -- much taller than an average human."

However, the commenters on the video were much more skeptical, with one person suggesting that they were deer tracks or perhaps a hopping animal.

A commenter who said she was the wife of the man who took the video reiterated that while they didn't say specifically they thought it was Bigfoot, the stride of the tracks seemed to be from something big.

At the same time, she noted that another possibility was maybe a "bounding bobcat or lynx landing/jumping/running with four feet together."

Or maybe it is a Bigfoot? Maybe not? Maybe it's fun to think of the wildest "what if" scenario? No?

What do you think after watching the video? Think it's just some regular ol' wildlife or a mysterious creature rumored to be in Maine?
