An adult scavenger hunt that runs citywide with discounted booze and prizes in Portland, Maine? I quite literally would rather do nothing else that Friday, Feb 7th than go on a spirit quest through my city with my best friends. This is actually an all ages event, so the whole fam can go and have a blast, but I'm going to pretend it's my own little bar crawl. Let's dive into the details and all the cool discounts and goodies you'll be hunting for.

When is 207 day in Maine 2025?

207 day is Friday, February 7th, 2025. This is when Portland Downtown will host their annual scavenger hunt to celebrate our state's area code. Get it? 207 is Maine's area code and the event happens on 2/07. Hehe, brilliant.

What is 207 day in Maine?

It's basically our own day to celebrate all the really awesome attributes that Maine embodies. Things like hidden gem local businesses you may have not known about and wish you had. It's about celebrating our community in a silly way while also supporting local hotspots by using clues and riddles to get to them. So fun. Oh yea, and the best part about it all? It's free!

See, last week I saw an article online from some dingo that ranked Maine one of the most boring states in the world and this scavenger hunt is just another example of how we're just not. Read more facts and my opinion on it here: There is no way Maine is the 38th most boring state in America.

Also, according to portlandmaine.com, tons of businesses downtown are participating by offering limited time discounts on things like beer or merchandise and so much more, you'll just have to scavenge for it ;).
