Worst Peep Show ever? Portland, Maine, is divided.
Yup. Worst peep show ever. Seems like a waste of perfectly good Peeps. We have a listener in Australia who doesn't know what Peeps are. When I tried to describe them as marshmallows covered in colored sugar, he replied in the best accent ever,
That sounds awful.
It's a debate that comes around once a year: Do you love Peeps or hate Peeps? AP News went inside a factory where Peeps are made and came up with some fun facts:
- On average, about 5.5 million are made each day
- There are 6 Peeps for every man, woman, and child across the United States
- There are 14 Peeps flavors, including cookies-and-cream
- Originally, making the candies by hand took 27 hours.
