WATCH: Moose Caught Casually Swimming in Sebago Lake
I have to say it.. only in Maine can you watch a Moose swimming gracefully in the lake and have it turn into a little rescue mission. Yup.
According to WMGE, a woman was enjoying the evening on Sebago lake when she spotted a big old Maine moose paddling through the water. A full on moose, just swimming along. It’s reported that her and her family could not believe what they were seeing.

Instead of just witnessing this, they flagged down another boat of people and the two boaters gently guided the moose back to shore.
It was like a mini water escort team for one magnificent moose swimmer. When they reached the land, the moose just casually jaunted onto the sand and wondered away.

So next time you go to Sebago, make sure to bring your camera and be ready in case a moose swims by.
The video has blown up, because who doesn’t want to see a moose vibing in Maine waters?

Oh! And while we’re on the subject of swimming moose, make sure that you are careful in all Maine waters because of the increase in shark sightings.
But I know it’s unlikely to mistaken a shark for a moose. Always look twice because you never know, who or what is swimming next to you!
