Two Men Charged after 100 Pounds of Marijuana Seized in Maine

Two men were arrested Tuesday morning and charged with drug trafficking and cultivating marijuana in Harmony.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said 51-year-old Wenfeng Chen and 71-year-old Xinwen Zhang were taken into custody inside the residence on South Road.

100 Pounds of Marijuana Seized

Deputies executed a search warrant around 9 am and seized 1,400 marijuana plants and 100 pounds of processed marijuana.

Van, Pistol, Ammo and Cash Confiscated

Also confiscated was a van, pistol, ammo and $1,600 in cash, said WABI News.

Same Residence Searched in 2024

Last May, police seized 1,200 plants from the same residence after a search. No one was found on the property at the time.

Bail Set at $10,000 Each

Both men were taken to the Somerset County Jail with bail set at $10,000 each.
