
Man Arrested and Children Removed from Unsanitary Home in Maine
A 33-year-old man was arrested Wednesday and two young children were with DHHS after drugs were seized and the residence in Rumford was deemed unsanitary and unsafe.
Drug Trafficking Search Warrant
A search warrant was executed around 3:30 pm at a Pine Street house connected to drug trafficking and reports of firearms possession.
Felony Charges
The Rumford Police Department said Alexander Taylor Kubesh was arrested and charged with felonies including Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Fentanyl, Felony Possession of Crack and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Two Children in Protective Services
A 4-year-old and 5-year-old were in the home and taken into custody of DHHS Child Protective Services.
“Unsanitary and Unsafe” Home
“Inside the home, officers discovered living conditions that were severely unsanitary and unsafe, posing significant health and safety risks to two young children,” said Rumford PD.
Drugs Seized and Dogs Relocated
During the search, officers seized crack, fentanyl, meth and marijuana. No firearms were located. Two dogs were on sight and turned over to the Rumford Animal Control Officer.
Prior Convictions
Police said Kubesh was a convict with multiple prior charges including Disorderly Conduct, Violating Bail, Felony Drug Trafficking and Probation Violation.
