When it came down to choosing the best fried chicken in each state, whittling it down to just one in Maine, could not have been an easy task, but it sure sounds like a good time.
When the dust settled, one destination in the Pine Tree State stood aboove the rest.
Hot Suppa, located at 703 Congress Street, in Portland, Maine, has chicken is so juicy, and mouth watering, you will need to grab a handful of napkins.
They are well known for their chicken and waffles, but you should also try their Fried Chicken Sandwich, which is chicken layered with jalapeno slaw and Sriracha mayo. Yum!
In 2006, two brothers established Hot Suppa! in an 1860 brick Victorian on Portland’s West End. It has beautiful high ceilings, brick walls, and original moldings, the unique character of the building
provides a complementary setting for the American classics they offer.
The menu at Hot Suppa is all made from scratch from quality ingredients, and of course, local goods are used whenever possible.
