I like the pampered feeling of eating lunch in a restaurant, sometimes. Being surrounded by others while the wait staff brings you delicious food. I mean, who wouldn't like that, right?

That is, until I found Ecotat Gardens and Arboretum in Hermon. It's located on Annis Road, right off Route 2. I mean, you turn off Route 2 and it's right there.

Despite being next to a busy intersection, the gardens have an isolated feel to them, with so many flowers and trees, you'd swear you were in a much more remote area.

There are picnic tables near the entrance and benches throughout, so plenty of places to sit and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. And there are even walking trails, if you're looking for a little exercise, without dealing with traffic.
