Now listen, if you are a cat person and you’ve never heard of the People for Animal Lifeline and Shelter in Winthrop (P.A.L.S), let me fill you in. This place is magical because it’s not just a shelter. Its a place filled with kitty hero's.

It’s a safe haven for hundreds of cats who have been lost, abused, hurt, abandoned, or just sadly forgotten.

Get this, I spoke to one of their employees and she told me that every single year, this small but mighty nonprofit in around 500-600 cats.

They will never turn away a pretty feline that needs their help. No cherry picking the “easy ones, they take care of all kitty's, with all behaviors.

A Shelter That Takes Every Cat, No Questions Asked

However, right now this nonprofit is going through something that breaks my heart to the core. They are facing a financial crisis right now.

They are without funding and because of that, may be forced to close their doors by June 16th, according to the employee. That is extremely soon!

The cost to run the shelter isn’t being met because of this and it’s about $500,000 per year.

Urgent: Beloved Cat Haven Could Close by June 16

They do have a donation website set up to help saying the following,

"No one wants this to happen, but we have no choice under current circumstances. You can help us keep our doors open and our staff fully employed in rescuing our feline friends. PALS is starting a “Be a PAL” campaign to raise enough funds to avoid the above drastic measures."

That is food, medicine, clean facilities and staff who care so very deeply. These wonderfully selfless people are in need of help so they can continue to save innocent animals, can you?

If you can help in any way to keep this vital cat rescue, no kill shelter open, please visit this link to donate.
