This New Restaurant in Smithfield, Maine, Could Be Your Next Belgrade Lakes Dinner Stop
If you spend your summers around the Belgrade Lakes, you know the “where should we go for dinner?” conversation comes up a lot. Well, there’s a new answer in Smithfield, and the location makes so much sense.
The Heron’s Table celebrated its grand opening October 14 at 858 Village Road, giving locals and visitors another restaurant to put on their radar.
What caught my attention most is the potential for this spot during the summer. Between people heading to camp, spending the afternoon on the water, and visiting family around the lakes, I can see this becoming a convenient dinner stop.
Because after a full day outside, who really wants to go home and cook?
A Familiar Smithfield Spot Gets a Fresh Start
If you recognize the address, you might remember King’s Place, which previously operated at the same location. Now, The Heron’s Table is bringing a new name and a new chapter to that familiar Smithfield spot.
A New Option for the Lakes Area
Smithfield sits between North Pond and East Pond, where summer activities include boating, swimming, and fishing. That makes the surrounding area an appealing setting for a restaurant serving both nearby residents and seasonal visitors.
And while my mind immediately went to summer, locals don’t have to wait until next year to give it a try.
Whether you live in Smithfield or are looking for somewhere different around the Belgrade Lakes area, keep this one in mind. Check The Heron’s Table’s Facebook page for its menu and latest updates.
