In Business For Nearly 70 Years, This Maine Pizza Shop Has a New Owner
When it comes to restaurants, it seems like they have all only been around for a few years, or they have been around for decades.
Think about it. We all know at least a few places that have only been around for a matter of years (sometimes, just months). On the other hand, we all know of at least a few spots that have been in business since before we were born. The Red Barn, Al's Pizza, and Ken's Seafood, to name just a few.
Sonny's Pizza definitely deserves to be on that list.
Now, we're hearing that the iconic Central Maine pizzeria has a new owner.
Meet the New Owner of Sonny's Pizza in Fairfield
According to a post on the 69-year-old pizzeria's Facebook page, the new owner is a woman named Emily Hussey.
The post continues, in part:
Over the years, this place has held a special place with so many families — and that won’t change. Our amazing staff is staying, and the recipes and menu favorites you’ve grown up with are here to stay.
My hope is to build on that strong foundation, introduce some new additions over time, and be more than just a pizza shop. I want to support our local schools, teams, and events, and truly be part of the community that has supported this business for generations. And I welcome your input.
We wish Emily and the team at Sonny's Pizza continued success!
