Maine Man Dead Following Early Morning Hit-and-Run Crash
According to an article on the WMTW website, a New Gloucester man is dead and an Oxford man is facing multiple charges following an early Thursday morning hit-and-run crash in Oxford, Maine.
Oxford Police Chief Ricky Jack says the crash happened just after 2 AM on Route 26 near the New Balance store and the Oxford Plains Speedway.
While the investigation is ongoing, investigators say that a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle, killing the rider. The rider of the motorcycle has been identified as 62-year-old Rodney Adair, of New Gloucester.
Police say the driver of the truck, 37-year-old Paul Gaudreau of Oxford, fled the scene after the crash.
Officers located and arrested Gaudreau within 20 minutes.

He is charged with manslaughter, operating under the influence, and aggravated reckless conduct.
Gaudreau was expected to make his first court appearance Thursday.
