Another Massive Powerball Winning Ticket Was Sold in Maine

This is becoming a trend: the sale of non-jackpot winning Powerball tickets in Maine.

Over the last few weeks, we have heard several stories about tickets worth $50,000 being sold in Maine.

It looks like it has happened again!  However, this time, the ticket was for even more than $50,000.

According to an article on the WABI website, a ticket sold in Maine for Wednesday's drawing was the biggest winner from that drawing.

The $100,000 winning ticket was purchased at Hanley’s Market in Bristol.

It matched four of the five white balls and the red Powerball, and included the Power Play option.  Only three $100,000 tickets were sold nationwide in Wednesday’s drawing.

Five other tickets across the country won $50,000 by matching four white balls and the Powerball without the Power Play.

The winning numbers were 12, 32, 45, 50 and 58, with a Powerball of 2. The jackpot now climbs to an estimated $119 million for Saturday night’s drawing.

It has been a particularly lucky month for Powerball players in Maine. A $50,000 ticket was sold last week at Gary’s Quick Stop in Richmond, while another $50,000 ticket was sold the previous week at Market Basket in Topsham.  Earlier this month, a $50,000 ticket was also sold at Wells Super Food Market in Wells.

According to WMUR, a Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was also recently sold in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
