Gronk Sets Playoff TD Record For Tight Ends
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was a question mark heading into the team's divisional round game Saturday, after missing multiple practices this past week with a recurring knee injury.
While his ability to contribute was questioned prior to the game, the 26-year-old left no doubt that he was ready to go once the Pats took the field.
Gronkowski lit up the Kansas City defense, catching seven balls for 83 yards and two scores.
Not only did he have a heck of a game, but the sixth year pro also made history with his second touchdown reception of the day.
The score marked the eighth postseason touchdown of Gronkowski's already accolade filled career. With eight postseason scores, he now sits alone atop the list of tight ends to score in the playoffs.
He'll look to add to that record next week, in the AFC Championship game.
