Augusta Elks 2 Day Summer Music Festival Set For August 11 And 12
Get ready for some great music spanning over 2 days and all for some great causes!
It's the Elks Summer Music Festival and it's happening Augusta 11 and 12 and will be held at the Augusta Elks Lodge which is on 397 Civic Center Drive in Augusta.
Friday August 11, the gates will open at 5:30 PM, opening ceremonies are at 6:00 PM, and the music gets underway at 6:30 PM and runs until 11:30 PM with a couple of great local bands, Working Class and The School Street Band.
Saturday, August 12, will feature a full day of music and entertainment as the gates open up at 11:30 AM and the music starts at noon. Artists scheduled to appear are Yellow Brick Road, Twice Shy, Blended Souls, Grand Orange, The Colwell Brothers, and Maine humorist Gary Crocker.
The Augusta Elks is always helping out and raising money for different charities and this event is no different.
Proceeds will benefit the Maine Children's Cancer Program which provides integrated, comprehensive, clinical research based medical care and psycho-social and practical support services to infants, children, and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders from throughout the state of Maine.
And also to K9's On the Front Line, an organization that rescues dogs and pairs them with military veterans who have PTSD for free. The dog goes through training with its owner to become a service animal.
This event will be outside rain or shine, and is available to the public. Tickets will be available at the door. It is shaping up to be a very fun weekend with fun, great music, and also some money raised for two great organizations.
