The Olympic games were supposed to start on July 24th, 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. However, they have been postponed due to concerns about the coronavirus, according to the INSIDER via Yahoo News. Olympic athletes worldwide say their training and preparations have come to a halt because of voluntary or mandatory lockdowns; thus, they have no where to train. Many supposedly feel they won't be ready come July. Meanwhile, almost 75% of the 125 U.S. athletes reportedly supported a postponement during a virtual town-hall event that took place over the weekend.

A new date has not been set for the Olympics. It may happen sometime in 2021.
