Woman Murdered In Augusta [UPDATED]

A woman is dead and a man is injured and in the hospital after what police say is a homicide. The incident occurred on Wednesday night in an apartment building at 32 Crosby Street in Augusta.

According to WMTW-TV, police found the woman, who has been identified as 24-year-old Jillian Jones dead inside the apartment on Crosby Street after responding to a 911 call around 8 p.m. Police added that the man, identified as Justin Pillsbury, 38, suffered some stab wounds that appeared to be self-inflicted. Police said Pillsbury is being treated at Maine General.

While no charges have been filed, the report said that police do plan to question Pillsbury about the incident as soon as possible.
