The story of Travis Mills is available on Netflix.  Which is great news for me, while I have meet Travis a few times and know the story of how he became a quadruple amputee I have not seen the movie.  I will be changing that very soon.

According to TravisMills.org April 10, 2012, United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills was critically injured on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan by an IED (improvised explosive device) and lost part of both legs and both arms. He is one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive.

Travis is an amazing person.  He is now a motivational speaker as well as an advocate for veterans and amputees. 2013, Travis founded the Travis Mills Foundation, a nonprofit organization, formed to benefit and assist combat-injured veterans.

He and his lovely family live just outside of Augusta in Manchester, ME.
