The Waterville library had a burst pipe last weekend and according to centralmaine.com it destroyed three computers, about 500 kids books and the carpeting in a large area.

A Skowhegan woman had died from injuries after a fire in her mobile home two weeks ago.  Centralmaine.com reports the fire when the woman lit a cigarette, which ignited her oxygen.

Maine new marijuana rules will be taking effect soon. Centralmaine.com reports that it could be by the end of next month if the Secretary of State is able to certify the results by then.  There is also the question if Gov. LePage or President-elect Donald Trump will take steps to block or roll back laws in the states legalizing it as it is still prohibited under federal law.

The Auburn 14 year old, Cheyenne Keaton, was found.  According to WMTW police said she runs away frequently and did not consider her disappearance to be suspicious.

President-elect Donald Trump has turned to Twitter again, this time to thank supporters who helped put him in the White House. Trump is ensured he'll become the 45th American president following Monday's vote by the Electoral College. Trump finished with 304 votes and Hillary Clinton had 227. It takes 270 Electoral College votes to win the presidency.

A Maine man is due to be sentenced in the hit-and-run killing of his pregnant former girlfriend. Evaristo De Deus pleaded guilty to murder in October in Androscoggin Count Superior Court, and prosecutors are seeking a 45-year sentence on Tuesday.

The Social Security Administration has released new rules that incorporate Sen. Angus King proposals to help better serve people with disabilities. King says Maine residents who apply for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits have to wait an average of 13 months to get a hearing with the administration. He says a proposal incorporated into the new rules will help reduce those wait times.

New record low temperatures have been recorded in cities across South Dakota, northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota while a blizzard shut down Interstate 90 in parts of Montana. The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, says Huron, South Dakota, set a new low for Sunday's date of minus 31 degrees.

Authorities in Berlin have been interrogating the man they say rammed a truck into a crowded Christmas market Monday, killing at least 12 people and injuring dozens of others. Authorities say the crash was intentional and is a suspected terror attack.

Police in Turkey have detained a man they say fired shots in front of the U.S. embassy in Ankara, several hours after the Russian ambassador to Turkey was killed in an attack. Police say the man took out a pump action shotgun he hid in his coat and fired around eight shots in the air before the embassy's security guards intervened and apparently overpowered him. No one was hurt.

China has returned to the U.S. an unmanned underwater drone the Chinese Navy seized unlawfully last week in international waters. China's defense ministry says it handed the drone back after "friendly consultations."

The last Syrian rebels and civilians are awaiting evacuation from the remainder of what was once a rebel enclave in eastern Aleppo. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says that more than 15,000 people, among them 5,000 opposition fighters, have left the enclave since the rebels effectively surrendered the area under an Ankara- and Moscow-brokered deal. It's unclear how many remain.

Investigators searching for nearly two years for a missing Malaysia Airlines plane are making a painful admission: They've probably been looking in the wrong place. The latest analysis by a team of international investigators says the Boeing 777 is likely farther north of the current search zone, a remote patch of the Indian Ocean west of Australia. The plane, with 239 people on board, disappeared while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
