The traffic pattern at Augusta's exit 109A is changing again as temporary on and off ramps opened Sunday morning.

According to WABI TV, the new access points to Whitten Road will be used by anyone taking the I-95 south or people heading toward downtown Augusta.

According to officials, anyone taking Whitten Road should be aware of the intersection (and stop sign - for those heading north) where Whitten Road meets with the new ramp.

And, everyone who travels through the area may want to allow additional time to get to their destination or find an alternate route.

Exit 109B will remain open.  The overpass bridge bridge is expected to open sometime over the winter.
