Obviously, traveling 146mph, on the interstate in Maine, would prevent you from reading the actual speed limit sign of 70mph.  How can one read a blur as it whips past you at such high speeds?  But one thing driver, Tyler Barrows, was able to see during his high speed travels were blue lights in his rear view mirror.

According to the Maine State Police, Barrows was traveling north on I95 in Pittsfield when Lt. Bruce Scott clocked the 18 year-old driving at 146mph.  Barrows, from Manchester, was arrested and summonsed for criminal speed (class E), failure to provide proof of insurance and failure to provide proof of inspection.

OK, OK...now the mommy in me is kicking in.  If I got a phone call that my child was driving at such high speeds, I would refuse to pay bail...I can assure you he is safer in jail from himself...and well...ME!!

And in a Dodge Neon???  Really??  It didn't blow apart at that speed?  His inspection sticker probably blew off.
