On Monday, August 21st Maine, along with the rest of North America will get to see a total, or partial solar eclipse as the moon will block the sunlight's path temporarily.

The total eclipse will be seen from Salem, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina. The partial eclipse will happen everywhere else, so Maine will get to see the moon covering part of the sun.

NASA's facebook page has posted the video below showing how to safely watch this incredible celestial phenomenon.
