Heat Alert! The National Weather Service is Calling for 90°+ Temperatures in Maine on Thursday
Here we go! Summer might not “officially” be here, but the heat sure is!
In heat index forecast maps released today by the National Weather Service in Gray, parts of southern and central Maine could see temperatures in excess of 90° on Thursday, after hitting the mid to upper 80s on Wednesday.
Lewiston and Fryeburg are forecast to hit 90 on Thursday, and Sanford could hit 91.
The NWS says that the projections for Thursday will break records, so let’s see how hot it gets!
