Wednesday, June 14, is National Flag Day. It's a day that commemorates the adoption of the U.S. Flag back in 1777. Just a few years ago, President Obama extended the Flag Day festivities to Flag Week.

Thomas College has a great event for juniors entering their senior year, who are interested in pursuing a career in education.  This all day event takes place right at the college and it helps if you register for the event.

It's a great honor to know Cathy & Glenn Lewis.  Such a wonderful couple with massive hearts for their community.  The Lewis' own Homegrown Healthcare Alternative Wellness, Apothecary & Learning Center in Winthrop.  The two have fought to educate the community and healthcare providers about medical marijuana.  Their hard work is paying off, as they had NBC's TODAY show visit them this week

United Airlines has certainly been the center of attention this past week, following the forced eviction of a passenger.  Overbooked, and no volunteers to give up their seats...a random selection was made which resulted in a passenger being dragged off the plane by police.  Didn't take long for someone to come up with some great suggestions on how to defend yourself, should you be in a similar sit

If you've  had enough of seeing April, the giraffe, populating your newsfeed on Facebook...then you're not alone.  I will admit, I sneaked a peek for the first three days.  But, now we're over a week of watching nothing.  I'm beginning to think this is just one big April Fool's joke.  (And now that I've written this, you watch...she'll finally pop.)

If you are in the medical field or health related occupations, there will probably be more opportunities to be employed in Maine in the new year.
