With the Winslow Family Fourth of July Celebration leaving the Waterville area, it appeared that, for the first time in decades, there would be no 4th of July Parade in the immediate Waterville area.  A couple of Waterville residents are working to keep the tradition alive.

According to WABI TV, Lois Campbell and Merle Trott have worked tirelessly for the last few days to plan an impromptu Waterville Fourth of July Parade.

Campbell say she believes every town should have their own parade, "We have men and women who have sacrificed their lives. Put things on hold. It's to honor them, you know, and it's important to do it."

Their plans for the parade include Uncle Sam, clowns, and other performers.
